Using COVID-19 data with EdelweissData™
This virtual meeting will include a perspective by Daniel Bachler (Senior Sofware Engineer, Edelweiss Connect) followed by a discussion session.
In the current SARS-COV-2 pandemic, a lot of interesting data has been generated, collected and published. A large number of articles and preprints have been published in a short period of time often accompanied by results, graphs, and tables. Yet often the preparation and publishing of quality scientific data has been lacking, blocking evaluation and further use. Consuming and aggregating multiple data sources has been time-consuming and non-trivial. In our SaferWorldbyDesign COVID-19 Data initiative, we offer the research community tools and support in preparing their data for publication and subsequent re-use. View examples.
In this webinar, we will demonstrate how EdelweissData™ can help improve this situation. EdelweissData™ is a new platform for scientific data management that we developed to organise scientific data of large EU research projects. Its focus on interactive exploration, harmonisation of heterogeneous data sources, and easy integration with a wide range of workflow tools and notebook systems for visualisation and analysis make it a very useful solution to know.
The webinar will also mark the launch of the public beta of EdelweissData™ that will allow researchers to manage and publish their own data for free.
Register now for our webinar to learn more about how to prepare and share your data, use it in interactive web applications and make it reusable by other researchers!
